Been on the phone for the past 30 minutes and no one has answered once! What a joke!
Dr Salzman would of sacked the god dam lot of you . There is a joke about drs receptionist's , I think this is where they originated . don't mistake your position ... Receptionist !! Not god .
Ridiculous doesn't even come close to the stupid on the day booking system. I called at 8am one morning and eventually got through at 8.35am. I was offered a morning appointment, I said this was no good as I needed after school for my son I was told I needed to call back after 9am as that is when afternoon appointments are released. I was gob smacked. So I had to hang up and re dial straight away and sat in she and eventually got through at 9am and then was allowed to book an afternoon appointment. Madness complete madness. Then I called today to book an afternoon appointment I called at 10am so I knew the afternoon appointments would be available to be told a new even more ridiculous rule. They can not book afternoon appointments until all the morning one have been booked!! But I can't come in the morning !! I do have a life and I work I am not allowed to be on my mobile all the time trying to work out their stupid rules. I then see a doctor complain and he tells me they have told receptionist to use their discretion but the receptionist are saying something different. Come on guys sort it out you are meant to be there to offer a public service. What was an excellent surgery is really letting it's self down.
I've been a patient in quite a few surgeries , as I've moved around the country quite a lot, and Western Elms is up there with the best of them.Although it is an incredibly busy surgery, I have never had to wait for an appointment. I have always found the reception staff pleasant and helpful, especially given the way some patients speak to them, and the undoubted pressure they are under, with the building work that is going on all around , and the fact they are one of the biggest surgeries in Reading.The doctors are fantastic, especially Dr Akhter, who is reassuring, empathetic and incredibly knowledgeable.Having lived abroad for some time, people should appreciate what a wonderful gem the NHS is. We would be lost without it.
The reception staff are too rude, very unfriendly especially one young woman. Have to go frequently at the gp and i always go there thinking which staff would be at the reception. But there's one lady who's really nice at the reception. This gp seriously needs to do something about the staffs at reception.
