AVOID. After returning to my car after leaving it for 16 hours, found that I had been charged for 33 hours. Went to the customer service booth for an explanation and he stated that it was because of a change from weekday to weekend charges. You'll be charged at both rates. Disgusting. Do not ever use this car park, I know I won't be again. Especially on a Friday night.
Absolute jobsworth staff, clearly trying to catch people out and rinse you for as much money as they can. would avoid and find a different car park in future!
I can't speak for what this car park was like before the recent work that kept it closed for a while, but my visit here since it reopened was perfectly fine. Finding a free space mid morning on a weekday took a bit of effort, as was to be expected for a car park so close to the station, but there were a few about. When I arrived back from London mid afternoon it had emptied out quite a bit, so weekday afternoon spaces don't look to be an issue.Signage is perfectly clear. The place was as clean as any other standard town car park I've been to. 12 for 4 hours isn't the best but there are plenty of cheaper car parks spread around Reading if that is a concern.
Rip off scum charged me 12 hours plus 12 hours at two different rates because I stayed from Friday to Saturday. Stayed about 22 hours but rather than paying the 24 hour rate they charged me 12 hours at one rate and 12 hours at another which cost me 10 more than the highest tariff 24 hour rate. DO NOT USE. Staff were uncaring, unhelpful and could not see the issue with the overcharge. AVOID THIS PLACE AT ALL COSTS!!!
We used this car park on the weekend to catch an early train to London. Really close to the station. Lots of spaces. Very easy to pay via ticket machine at the bottom of the stairs before exit. 12 all day at the weekends - well worth it for the convenience.
