Small wooded park along the Thames. There are dirt paths, nicely placed park benches, and trash bins that are commonly emptied. It is a nice place to walk around and observe nature or the nearby dam. It is somewhat remote and not well lit so I would not recommend visiting after sunset.
Place to relax. A place to think.
Quiet nature reserve island off the beaten track but not far from Caversham lock and town centre. An abandoned tennis court tells that there once was a house here. Lots of quiet river frontage. Only spoiled by the odd litter and failure of the council to keep it clean.
A small island in the North Bank of the River Thames, accessible by the wier next to Caversham Lock. It is a well maintained & managed mini nature reserve where you can go for a short walk or sit and enjoy the wildlife in peace & quiet. There are a few metal park benches around & a large information board to tell you what you can find in the area. A beautiful spot which would be heaven if people using it took there rubbish away. There is a notice prohibiting walking dogs here.
Lovely and peaceful. One of the few untouched places left in reading.
