A remarkable piece of history under the shadow of St Peter's Church and on the banks of the Thames. Check out the footprint if the old house, the timeline at the far end of the site or just kick back on the benches under the trees.
Very peaceful gardens, with the Thames River flowing through. Vibrant community of people make it even better with seasonal fairs and exhibitions.
Top garden, it's little hidden gem of a garden in reading.. great views in the evenings with sky and lights reflecting through the waters and view of the big open space on the other side.. great for family and picnic times..
A lovely, well kept garden hidden away by the Thames. Delightful to visit with a picnic in the summer, or to spend a quiet half hour with a coffee. The little cafe is staffed by volunteers and is open during the summer months. The gardens always feel like a bit of a secret to me, so peaceful yet tucked away right next to busy old Caversham.
Beautiful park with flower beds and trees galore in a riverside setting. Car parking in The Warren road behind the park. Tea and cakes served by volunteers 6 days a week from March to October. Public toilets with weird locking system - look for rocker switch on wall of compartment.
