Great chance to find out more about reading

A great museum, with a fantastic Bayeaux Tapestry exhibit.

I only had time to see the 19th century replica of the Bayeux tapestry, but it was well worth the visit. If you are interested in Anglo-Saxon history, this museum is a must.

My friend and I had an interesting look around the three floors of the museum today. A lift is available. There are a lot of exhibits of Reading's local history going way back, and one room in particular was set out as a Victorian School Room. Another interesting exhibit is the copy of the Bayeux Tapestry and of Huntley and Palmer. Well worth a visit.

Nice for a quick visit around when you are in Reading. History of Reading,a few collections, and they have a cafe aswell. Not much else but it is good for a quick look around.
