Dealt with Ben in the Reading Showroom, who was very polite and professional and explained the sofa options, advances and how to maintain it very well, did not pressure me into the sale at all. DFS have been brilliant from start to finish with the ordering and delivery process. delivery was on time and the delivery guys were also brilliant, very polite and did a fabulous job of setting the corner sofa up very quick. Would recommend DFS.
The gentleman who was serving us made me feel very uncomfortable by forcing you to sign an in branch (not official) document to invalidate your warranty if you don't purchase and use their expensive cleaning products and "plump daily". When we raised this, he said we had to sign it or he would hand-written these extra terms into the Ts and Cs. The document was clearly not from Head Office as they used terms such as 'Hoover' rather than vacuum. The gentleman refused to give his name when we asked stating "I'm not going to give my name, as you're no longer our customer". The sales pitch was very scripted and is probably very good at his job in the eyes of management but as a customer, makes you feel uncomfortable and pressured. Anyone looking to purchase from DFS, I *HIGHLY* recommend to purchase over the phone as the calls are recorded and the process is regulated better by their Head Office as their calls are recorded. Over the phone, we have not had any issues.EDIT: He also took our bank card to his office out of our sight
Dealt with Ben at the Reading branch. Very nice guy, friendly and very helpful. Was patient and helped us pick the right sofa for us. Wasn't pushy, talked us through the whole process and made it a pleasure to buy from DFS. Thanks for all your help Ben, keep up the good work!
