Theale Station has a minimum of facilities. Platform access is via 2 flights of stairs on both sides, there is no disabled access or assistance.
Quite possibly the friendliest station I have visited. The staff that worked there were extremely helpful even supplied my daughters with bottles of water as it was a very hot day. It's unfortunate the trains are every hour but a pleasant experience at the station
Nice place
Sad and neglected little station, really not much more than a "halt". Ticket office only open during morning peak. No waiting room or facilities. Evening train service is poor with a lot of time between services. The bridge between platforms and to the car park is just the footway of the road bridge.Crossing the adjacent Brunel Road is not pleasant; lack of a formal crossing (such as a zebra or pelican) leaves pedestrians having to dash between the inevitably speeding vehicles.
A fairly basic railway station. HSTs pass through daily and quite a lot of goods trains pass through or stop at the industrial sidings next door. Steam trains also pass through approximately once a month and sometimes stop here for water.
