I would have given a higher rating if they hadnt just gone ahead and done additional work that they found without telling me or asking me if it was ok. To collect my car and be presented with a bill 3x what they had quoted was a big shock and if it hadnt been so late, if my lift hadnt already left and if I didnt have a stinking cold and felt like death I would have refused to pay, as I believe is my right as they cant just go ahead and do what they want to your vehicle without your permission and land you with a whacking great bill, 5 days before Christmas as well!Thanks very much Star, I will definitely have to rethink next time I need a mechanic.
The name of garage says it all. This chaps are stars and are extremely helpful and very honest chaps. Problem with my Mercedes just out of warranty and Mercedes did not want to no. Star garage got on to me are are getting it sorted,gave me a car to take a way as well while mine getting sorted.Mercedes uk need to follow this garage customer relationship. Absolutely top class would advise anyone to this place. Thanks chaps.
Ive been taking my car to Star Motors for a couple of years now, on the weekend my car decided to break down on me. I rung the guys first thing Monday morning and I spoke to Ian, he instructed me on how to release my car from being stuck in the park position. I then managed to limp my car down to the garage and the guys managed to diagnose the fault and fix it the same day. thanks ever so much!!!
The expertise of Ian and his team becomes value for money. I trust them more than any official Mercedes dealer. Firstly I went with an electronic problem which was driving me mad and took the car to several garages before and they solved 'spot on', in other occasion the car was loosing power and I was afraid the turbocharger being damaged, it was a bad workmanship from a 'cowboys' garage where I went to service the car a week earlier.Definitely recommendable, knowledgeable and competent. Moreover they have the cleanest toilet I have even seen in a mechanics garage. Keep it up guys!
Fantastic friendly staff . I explained the problem with my C-Class 220Cdi over the phone I was asked to come in the next day . I was greeted immediately by Ian and couple of his colleagues ( Im terrible at remembering names ) .They diagnosed the problem there and then and given a rough cost .I was called to a day later to pick up as the car was ready .The whole experience felt comfortable and reassuring and I will be honest going into garages most people are not mechanics and dont know what the problems are , especially with modern cars , so they are at the mercy of whatever they are told by the garage or individual dealing with your car . I did not feel that at all at Star Motors .They are friendly , professional and honest and I will be returning to them always should I need to .Highly Recommended !!!----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------I ended up having a problem losing power while riving on my Mercedes , I phoned Star Motors on a Friday afternoon , at 3pm and they close at 4pm , I was asked to bring the car in . Mike was fantastic and had the car up on the ramp at closing time on a Friday after a long day . He diagnosed the problem ( a cracked hose on the turbo ) . Had the part changed and the car ready to go within 45 min.Star Motors is staffed by the greatest set of guys you will ever meet . You are treated like family . Nothing is too much trouble , and more importantly you are dealt with honestly and told exactly what the problem is and charged very reasonably . I WOULD NEVER GO ANYWHERE ELSE !! WELL DONE GUYS ... YOU HAVE MY RESPECT .
