Nice atmosphere and an amazing food! We had a really lovely time in there !
All good but not really French cuisine. However fish was perfect. Wine and desserts as well. Service: excellent. Is the downtown of Reading. Highly recommend.
EDITED 2019:Cte is easily one of the best mid range restaurant chains. The variety in their menu, the seasonal specials, the quality of staff and the pleasingly manageable bill all contribute to a consistently wonderful experience. I've eaten at the Riverside location a number of times for both lunch and dinner, and always been very satisfied with the food and drink. Service is prompt even during busy periods and the wine list is inoffensively priced. Don't be afraid to skimp out and go for the cheaper bottles as they are exceedingly drinkable. They also do some of the tastiest calamari that I've had the pleasure of eating, and the pork belly main is still one of the best I've had.The restaurant is a very pleasant design with both an upstairs and downstairs dining area, along with a few tables outside by the river. The furnishings are comfortable and charming, and the location is very convenient. I'm usually able to get a table without booking, but you may want to call ahead on weekends as it can occasionally fill up.
Always get a good meal here. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable with regards to gluten-free food and understand the difference when there is a Coeliac on the table.Not over-priced and above average service The restaurant can be loud sometimes even when not full so take caution if you have hard of hearing family members
Had a meal here fairly early on a Monday evening. The large restaurant was very quiet at the time. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. Food was excellent. They have a range of menus including special offer ones for lunchtime or early evening meals. Looking forward to going back again.
