Ac/dc (UK) Best cover band so far, great venue great staff.
They haven't invested anything in this place in years. Riding on the laurels of being the only venue in town. The worst bar in town, always understaffed and incredibly slow service.
The band was great and I've had some great time here, but yesterday evening the bar was out of several beers very early in the evening and poorly staffed so queues were long. And you could have swum across the toilet floor!
Always great at Sub89. Good staff, but they need a few more behind the bar sometimes. There is wheelchair access, don't know if there is a lift, but a chap in a wheelchair was there to watch Bad Manners. Very reasonable prices too, both bar and event tickets.
Man alive, I now know why it's called Sub89...cause that was how many degrees below zero Celsius it was in there. Went to watch a friends band (who were great...The Drop) but we actually left before the end because we were fearing frostbite. Yes we had two girls with us and I'd like to blame it on them...truth be known...I was happy to get out of there to get warmed up.
