Had the misfortune today of finding out someone had fraudulently used my card on their site. Customer service actually asked me to email a screenshot of my online banking showing the amount and my card details! Wouldn't cancel the order, so I hope the person gets alcohol poisoning
These guys always provide a knowledgeable, friendly service, with a good choice of wines. One occasion, that "sealed the deal" for me, i purchased a wine that i didn't like and they replaced it for another with no quibble, even though i had opened it
Can get better at your local supermercado. Over hyped and over priced. I bought and will never do it again. Dismal
Reading through the reviews I realise this is obviously their company policy. I cancelled my membership 2 months ago after the initial case. I have always refused any company from holding onto my credit card details. However, yesterday I notice a charge of 107 to my credit card, and a case of wine I didn't order delivered to my doorstep. I think I will flag all such comments below to trading standards.
If you can get a rare good offer it's great - you'll get labels you won't find in supermarkets, and some wines are excellent. But i rate them only average because regular prices are now far too pricey, offers too rare, some wine tastes nothing special, service has gone from good to hit-and-miss, deliveries not a speedy as they used to be, you get bombard with mail and phone calls even if you unsubscribe, and one serious word of advice: NEVER Ever give them your bank details or pay by direct debit. otherwise they take money without consent, it happened to my brother - and quite a few others if you read the reviews! shocking. I send them a cheque :)
